Since 1967, Maison Bernard Zins has embodied the tradition of the French pants. Innovation, fabric selection, cutting precision and manufacturing quality: the company based its exceptional know-how on these 4 values, mixing tradition and modernity, in line with the vision of its Founder, Bernard Zins, Ingénieur Pantalonnier. 

After an Engineer degree from the renown Arts et Métiers national school, Bernard Zins is selected to be part of the first research trip for Apparel productivity and travels to the United States for the first time in 1950. This trip will be key for his vision of the future of this sector and the instrumental role it will give to the modernity and quality of its industrial aspects.

In 1967, Bernard Zins founds the Manufacture Bernard Zins in Lens, specialized in high end pants, and in 1970 sets the show-room on Rue de Birague, in the Marais; a now famous Parisian district.  In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Bernard Zins initiates multiple innovative techniques for lining, ies, pockets, pleats, invisible seams, etc. that will be future standards in pants making and is mandated to manufacture the diffusion of unique clothing lines for many of the most prestigious brands at that time, such as Pierre Cardin, Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji Yamamoto.

In 1999, the Printemps Department Store on Haussmann boulevard dedicates one of its biggest events to the “30 ans du Pantalon”, praising Bernard Zins’s know-how and showing its most recognized designs. In parallel, Bernard Zins has been developing its eponymous brand, for Men and Women, via a new line mixing tradition and modernity.

More recently, the brand has revitalized its creation via a new and audacious artistic direction that plays with the codes and signatures of the collections.
